Sloan Barnett and Green Goes With Everything in the News.

Vogue Magazine, August 2008
Unlikely eco-warrior Sloan Barnett has found bucolic bliss—and an environmentally friendly lifestyle—at her family’s Napa Valley retreat.
"At 40, I’m busy—very busy—but happy," she says. "In my 20s I was trying to figure out who I was. In my 30s I was making babies, and now I think I’m so lucky. I’m married to someone whom I’ve adored for ten years—and I still love to be with him more than anyone else. And then I have these three phenomenal children. And I’ve reached this wonderful place in my professional career. I’ve worked so hard to get here, and now I’m enjoying it, relishing the concept of being able to do the right things and make a difference."

For Barnett, going green is a family issue.
Sloan Barnett is not particularly interested in celebrity. She's been there, done that as a prominent young socialite and philanthropist in New York, a former assistant district attorney and a legal commentator on TV. But the 40-year-old devotee of designer duds - dubbed "Sloan Ranger" by Women's Wear - is catapulting to new national ranks, from "It Girl" to a sort of "Grit Girl," thanks to the publication of her first book, "Green Goes With Everything", which hit bookstore shelves last week.
